This chapter first reviews the development of chip industry in Pudong New Area，highlighting Pudong’s leading position in chip industry in Shanghai. Then，we analyze shortcomings of chip industry in Pudong from perspectives of domestic and foreign development environment，technology and talents etc. We believe that in the future，Shanghai chip industry should give play to its existing advantages，continue to expand the industrial scale，make itself bigger and stronger，realize the autonomy and control of core technologies，optimize the overall industrial layout in Pudong，and strengthen the positive external effect of chip industry agglomeration.
